Several Indiana public housing agencies are receiving funds from the federal government to help homeless veterans seeking permanent housing.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Veterans Affairs are distributing more than $600,000 in housing vouchers to agencies in Bloomington, Evansville, Indianapolis, Gary and Lafayette.
Veterans can use these vouchers to pay their rent.
The vouchers will be given to 127 homeless veterans.
