Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay made a public appearance Monday at a hotel in Atlanta, Georgia, for the first time since his arrest in March.
Irsay was charged earlier this year for preliminary DUI and narcotics violations, and his daughter Carlie has been running the team's day-to-day operations since his arrest.
While the Colts owner declined to talk about his personal life, he did say he's been busy preparing his pitch to host Superbowl LII in Indianapolis.
The team will find out Tuesday whether or not they'll be hosting the next Superbowl. During his appearance, Irsay seemed confident about winning the bid.
According to the Indianapolis Star, Irsay also addressed his health:
"Physically, I'm feeling decent," he said. "I still have a little ways to go from a rehab standpoint and everything. I'm not ready to hit the golf course yet. But eventually I'll get there. So, just hoping to avoid any future surgery and continuing to physically rehab. I'm feeling ok. Just trying to continue to stand up straighter and the hip and back is doing ok."
