The Indianapolis community is responding to the death of Indianapolis metropolitan police officer David Moore. Moore died Wednesday after being shot during a traffic stop Sunday.
Governor Mitch Daniels has ordered that flags in Marion County be lowered to half-staff in honor of the officer. In addition, Mayor Greg Ballard postponed his State of the City address due to what Ballard's spokeswoman Paula Freund called a "senseless act of violence."
Moore's funeral will be held Tuesday in the Conseco Fieldhouse.
