The six inches of rainfall this past week will elevate flood conditions into at least the second week of March.
Gov. Eric Holcomb (R-Ind.) declared a disaster emergency for 11 counties on Saturday. The declaration could be expanded to include other counties in the coming days.
Flood warnings continue for the East Fork White, Flatrock, Mill Creek, Muscatatuck, Wabash, White and other rivers and creeks.
Officials at the National Weather Service report the East Fork White River at Seymour is more than five feet over flood stage. The Wabash River in Terre Haute is 11 feet over flood stage.
High water will continue to close roads. An 80 percent chance of rain is back in the forecast Wednesday and Thursday.
