IPFW got closer Monday to becoming Purdue University-Fort Wayne.
A ruling from the Higher Learning Commission allows the school to now begin branding and marketing as Purdue University Fort Wayne. Last spring, the Purdue University board of trustees announced the split into two schools, and the change will become effective on July 1.
Indiana University will take over the health sciences degrees offered at the north Fort Wayne campus, under the auspices of IUPU-I. Purdue University will retain degree-granting authority for all other academic programs.
A new logo and brand look was unveiled earlier this year. IPFW was established in 1964.
