Greene Co. Hospital To Assume Control Of 6 Specialty Clinics

The Greene County General Hospital Board says it's reassuming control of six specialty health clinics scattered throughout the county.

Hospital President Brenda Reetz says the board will simply oversee the clinics, and patients won't notice any difference. Reetz says they will still be seeing the same medical staff, and could see their experience enhanced thanks to stronger communication.

"They're even working under the same governance structures," Reetz says. "Same leadership, same governance. It's much easier to make changes, so that's really what the board hopes to achieve."

Reetz is not sure when the hospital will assume full control of the clinics and declined to comment on whether finances spurred the move.
