Indiana University's new home for the School of Informatics is officially open.
Friday marked the dedication of Luddy Hall, Computing and Engineering. The $39.8 million project honors IU alumnus Fred Luddy, who is also a member of the Dean's Advisory Council.
Luddy says he was eager to contribute to the vision of the new facility.
The new 124,000 square foot building includes 15 classrooms and labs, 31 interview and career counseling spaces, and 3-D printing equipment.
Luddy Hall is the first building developed within the Woodlawn Corridor, a multiphase construction plan connecting the main campus with the northern athletic complex.
