DNR Officers Locate Body Of Anup Thota At Lake Monroe

Indiana DNR Conservation Officers have located the body of a 26-year-old man who had been missing from Lake Monroe since Friday night.

Indiana conservation police say Anup Thota of Bloomington was boating and swimming with co-workers Friday evening at the 10,000 acre man-made reservoir.

Then the squall hit. After it passed, his friends realized he was missing and called 911.

Authorities including a dive team conducted a search, which was called off at dark. It resumed Saturday and Sunday.

According to a press release, Thota's body was found Sunday evening in approximately 15 feet of water near an area where he had been swimming.

According to a post from Cook Medical, the man is an engineering consultant for the company.
