NWS: Two Tornadoes Touched Down In Indiana Tuesday

The National Weather Service has confirmed two tornadoes during Tuesday's severe weather outbreak.

The service says the first tornado formed in Fountain County at 6:30 p.m., just outside of Covington. The wind downed a few large tree branches and knocked over a large dumpster. Wind speeds ranged from 65 to 85 miles per hour.

Another tornado formed just after 7 p.m. in Tippecanoe County, near Buck Creek. The National Weather Service says it blew out the skylights in a nearby barn, collapsed a wall, and broke off a portion of a power pole. It also knocked down a few tree branches, one of which broke a garage window. Its peak wind speed was 85 miles per hour.

No injuries or fatalities were reported.
