Memorial Service For 3 Bloomington Family Members Killed In Murder-Suicide Scheduled For Saturday

A memorial service for three members of the Mumper family killed in Sunday's murder-suicide is scheduled for this weekend.

The service will commemorate the lives of Annamarie "Greta" Mumper and her children Emma Mumper and Jakob Mumper, who were found dead in their Hyde Park home last weekend.

A joint obituary from Bloomington funeral home The Funeral Chapel makes no mention of Jeffrey Mumper, who is alleged to have shot and killed his wife and two children before killing himself.

Monroe County Coroner Joani Shields on Thursday confirmed the causes of death for Greta, Emma and Jakob as murder and listed Jeffrey's cause of death as suicide.

Bloomington Police say they are still investigating a motive in the killings.

According to the obituary, Greta had just completed her thirds Masters degree in special needs child care development. Emma had recently obtained a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Stony Brook University in New York, and Jakob was a senior at Bloomington High School North.

The memorial service will be held at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church at 10 a.m. on Saturday. A live stream of the memorial will be featured on the church's YouTube channel
