Bloomington Announces 16th City Employee To Test Positive

Another City of Bloomington employee has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Office of the Mayor confirmed in a press release that a Parks and Recreation Department employee is self-isolating after receiving a positive result of a test administered Friday, Oct. 23. The employee last worked Oct. 22.

According to the release, the employee works outdoors and does not interact with members of the public during their work.

This is 16 th city employee and second from the parks department to receive a positive test.

The release said the department has notified coworkers who had close contact with the employee and disinfected equipment the employee utilized.
