The Bloomington Police Department is investigating a shooting at the Arlington Valley Mobile Park that left one person dead.
According to a press release, BPD officers arrived at the 1600 block of N. Willis Drive about 8:32 p.m. on Oct. 26 in response to multiple reports of shots being fired. When they arrived, officers found an unresponsive 26-year-old man on the front porch. He had been shot in the chest.
The release said officers began resuscitation efforts before the man was transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Investigators spoke with several witnesses, according to the release. BPD said they believe three males who had been invited to the home attempted to rob the victim, which prompted the shooting.
Police said the suspects fled the scene before police arrived.
