The City of Bloomington has now seen 17 confirmed coronavirus cases among its employees; including workers in the Parks Department, Bloomington Fire Dept., Bloomington Transit and Bloomington Utilities; since the start of the pandemic.
The newest case is a Parks and Recreation staffer who tested positive Sunday after being identified as a close contact of another Parks Dept. worker who contracted COVID-19 late last month.
A news release from the city said the employee works outdoors and has not had close contact with the public.
