U.S. Sen. Todd Young will self-quarantine after meeting last week with a staff member in Indiana who has since tested positive for COVID-19, the Indiana Republican announced.
Young is halting all in-person activities until further notice, he said Monday.

“Out of an abundance of caution, I have decided to self-quarantine to protect the health and safety of my fellow Hoosiers, Senate colleagues, and staff.
“I am feeling healthy, working from home, and not experiencing any symptoms,” Young said.
Young will be tested for the virus this week, he said.
A representative from Young's team said the senator was not present at the White House election night event, which has been scrutinized after multiple attendees tested positive for the virus. Young's office said he was in Indiana on Nov. 3.
As counties continue to tally votes, some Republicans are continuing to challenge the legitimacy of former Vice President Joe Biden's status as president-elect.
"Every legal vote will soon be counted and certified," Young said via a Tuesday statement. "Once that happens, I’m confident the results of the election will be recognized.”
