The Santa Claus, Ind. postmark is now available at the Santa Claus Post Office through Dec. 24.
The holiday postmark has been around since 1983 and Spencer County Visitors Bureau Executive Director Melissa Arnold said the best part is the tradition.
High school students submit designs as part of an annual contest. This year’s winner was Summer Weedman.

“The winner is someone who lives here, grew up here, and loves this town and it’s their artwork that can be stamped on about 400,000 pieces of mail stamped around the world,” Arnold said.
Those who are interested in the Santa Claus postmark can visit the town’s website.
