Two City Of Bloomington Employees Test Positive For COVID-19

A Bloomington parks department employee and an emergency dispatch worker are the first to test positive for COVID-19 in May.

According to a city news release, close contacts among the colleagues of the parks employee have been identified. No close contacts were identified among the dispatch employee's coworkers. Neither worker had close contact with the public.

Thursday's report from the city marks 84 positive COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic by city workers.

The city says cleaning protocols are complete of shared workspaces and vehicles.
