Bloomington officials are reporting a new positive COVID-19 case among city employees. A Bloomington Police Department employee received a positive test over the last week. It was the only city worker with a positive test, the city reported.

According to a city statement Thursday, the employee was not a close contact of a previous COVID-19 case in the Bloomington city government.

These new case marks the third positive test by a city employee in May. The city has reported 85 positive COVID-19 tests since the pandemic began.

City, county, and state COVID data can be found on the  city's dashboard.
