Nine more people in Indiana have died from COVID-19, Indiana health officials announced Sunday.
The Indiana Department of Health also reported 754 new cases Sunday. Overall, 13,063 people have died from coronavirus disease in the state with more than 730,000 infections. State health officials reported another 417 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients who have no positive test on record.
The number of positive cases has been declining in recent weeks. The University of Notre Dame has gone more than a week without reporting any COVID-19 cases, according to data posted online Saturday.
State officials said nearly 40% of Indiana’s eligible population has been fully vaccinated.
At least two Indiana counties have lifted local mask mandates after federal health officials eased mask-wearing guidance for those fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

In Monroe County, authorities reported nine new positive cases Sunday but no new deaths. The county has reported 11,945 total positive cases since the pandemic began.
As of Sunday, the 7-day all-test positivity rate was 1.3%.
The department also reported 251 new tests, adding to the total of 547,178.
There were 25 residents hospitalized in connection with the virus.
