Another Slow-Moving Cold Front To Bring Heavy Rain

A cold front will make its way through Indiana tonight and into Saturday morning. The system is expected to stall over central Indiana, leading to heavier rainfall. Forecasts predict at least two inches across most of central Indiana, with amounts as high as four inches in local thunderstorm areas. Showers and storms may linger through Sunday afternoon.

Central Indiana already has experienced between three and four inches of rain since the beginning of this week, and the consistent saturation of the soil could lead to flash flooding. Areas located along the Driftwood, White, East Fork White, Big Blue, and Wabash Rivers flood. Storm reports indicate damaging wind gusts also are possible.

Temperature highs remain in the low 80s through early next week, while the lows will hover around the mid-to-low 60s. A break from the rain with sunny skies are predicted for Monday and Tuesday.
