Monroe County’s weekly cases per 100,000 up to 123 from 113 last week

Monroe County          

Monroe County confirmed 47 new COVID-19 cases Thursday and 50 Wednesday.  

No new COVID-19 deaths were confirmed, keeping the county total at 216, after four deaths were added Wednesday.  

The county has been in the yellow advisory for two months. Its seven-day positivity rate is 4.4 percent Thursday, from 4.3 percent Wednesday. The county has confirmed 16,016 cases since the pandemic began.  

In District 8, which includes Monroe, Brown, and Bartholomew counties, 63 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, down from 64 Tuesday.  

Monroe County’s weekly cases per 100,000 are up to 123 from 113 last week. This statistic is updated every Wednesday.   

Indiana               

The state recorded  3,939 new COVID-19 cases Thursday and 3,481 Wednesday. The state has reported 1,065,717  COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic.      

The Indiana Department of Health confirmed  29 new COVID-19 deaths, making the cumulative total 16,647.   

The state recorded 1,515 hospitalizations Thursday, up from 1,483 Wednesday. 

The state’s seven-day positivity rate is 9.6 percent Thursday, up from 9.3 percent Wednesday.  

Long-Term Care Facilities         

The state reported 277 new positive cases among residents at long-term care facilities this week, after reporting 127 last week on Wednesday.   

The state’s total number of confirmed cases among residents is 26,758.      

Forty new resident deaths were confirmed this week. Last week, 16 new resident deaths were counted.    

The total number of resident deaths since the start of the pandemic is 6,616– that’s 38 more than the total confirmed from last week.  

     

Below are the latest results reported to the state for Monroe County facilities         

The Richland Bean Blossom Health Center: 33   resident cases, eight resident deaths, 22  staff cases (no change for five weeks)       

Stonecroft Health Campus: 34  resident cases, 14 resident deaths, 30  staff cases (+1, no change, +1)        

Garden Villa: 73  resident cases, 14 resident deaths, 45  staff cases (no change for the last eight  weeks)        

Monroe Place: Fewer than five  resident cases, fewer than five resident deaths, fewer than five  staff cases  (no change for the last  eight weeks)        

Golden Living Center: 57  resident cases, 20 resident deaths, 34  staff cases (no change, no change, +1) 

Brookdale: 0  resident cases, 0 resident deaths, 0  staff cases (no change for the last three weeks- no longer on state map)    

Autumn Hills Alzheimer’s Special Care Center: fewer than five  resident cases, 0 resident deaths, fewer than five  staff cases (no change for the last eight weeks)        

Bell Trace: fewer than five  resident cases, 0 resident deaths, 0  staff cases (no change for the last eight weeks)      

Bloomington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center:  24  resident cases, fewer than five resident deaths, seven  staff cases (no change for the last eight weeks)        

Gentry Park: 16  resident cases, fewer than five resident deaths, 21 e staff cases (no change for three weeks)       

Meadowood Health: 10 resident cases, fewer than five resident deaths, 24  staff cases (no change for seven weeks)        

Hi Jill’s:  fewer than five resident cases, 0 resident deaths, fewer than five  staff cases (no change for three weeks)   

Hearthstone: 55  resident cases, 16 resident deaths, 39  staff cases (+1, +1 , no change)
