Showers and thunderstorms are back in the forecast Friday evening. National Weather Service forecasters in Indianapolis say some of those storms could be severe.
The outlook calls for an enhanced to slight risk of severe weather for Indiana Friday afternoon into the evening. The threats include damaging wind, isolated tornadoes, hail, and heavy rain.
Forecasters say the main threat for severe weather will be from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. though uncertainty remains on the severe storm potential.
Strong wind gusts are expected into Saturday as the cold front passes through the area. Friday highs are expected to reach the upper 60s, while Saturday highs will only hit 51 degrees.
