Monroe County has released a newly updated schedule for pickup of debris left by the June 25 storms.

The money comes from the county’s American Rescue Plan Act fund.

A storm’s trail of destruction affected people in parts of Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana and Arkansas. At least three people in Ohio were killed, dozens hurt and even more reported damaged homes or businesses.

Storm damage in Indiana was reported in the east central city of Winchester, according to Indiana State Police, who said they were working to confirm fatalities.

More severe weather is expected tonight after a line of thunderstorms rolled through south central Indiana today.

Threats include large hail, damaging winds, heavy rain, and possible tornadoes.

The Monroe County Emergency Management office will test the outdoor warning sirens an additional time at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

First responders labored for hours to carve a path through dense forest in order to facilitate the movement of rescue equipment into Lost River Township in Martin County.

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms moving into western central Indiana will move east through the area over the next several hours.
