On May 1, 2025, the Dept of Veterans Affairs abruptly shut down a home loan program that was helping vets who had fallen behind on their VA home loan payments. This has resulted in thousands of vets being offered loan modifications with higher interest rates and monthly payments. If you have been affected by this, NPR wants to hear from you! If you've lost your home, we'd like to hear your story, too.
