With colder weather setting in, service providers are worried Bloomington’s rule against camping tents in parks will make it a difficult winter for people who are unhoused. Unhoused individuals also say the ban has disrupted their sense of community.

As the number of lawyers in the state continues to dwindle, those in rural areas needing legal help are being affected the most. In Indiana, upwards of two-thirds of counties are considered legal deserts.
