Winter weather advisory for freezing rain in effect until Tuesday morning

Light freezing rain is developing across far north-western portions of central Indiana.

Freezing rain is expected this afternoon around 4 p.m. until tomorrow morning, causing difficult travel conditions.

The National Weather Service in Indianapolis says total ice accumulation of up to one tenth of an inch is possible throughout south-central Indiana.

A winter weather advisory is in effect from 4 p.m. until 10 a.m. tomorrow.

The Indiana Department of Transportation officials say a full call of nearly 1,000 trucks will be out treating state highways, interstates, and U.S. routes tonight.  

A transition back to rain is expected tomorrow morning with daytime highs reaching 43 degrees. Highs could reach 55 by Thursday.
