The Monroe County Community School Corporation will go to eLearning Tuesday, following the large winter storm that cancelled classes Monday.
Students will do independent, self-paced eLearning, according to a corporation message. All in-person programs and after-school activities are cancelled through Tuesday.

Indiana public schools must provide 180 days of instruction, and schools don’t have to make up eLearning days. However, schools must make up days missed without eLearning. Families will hear from teachers by 10 a.m. tomorrow via Canvas and ParentSquare, MCCSC said. Food service will be available noon- 1:30 p.m. at Templeton and Fairview elementaries but families must RSVP to indicate how many meals they need.
Monroe County was under a travel warning Monday morning — the highest level of preparedness advised by the Indiana Department of Homeland Security.
