A model train display in Martinsville is open for the holiday season for the 27 th year.

The Morgan County Model Railroad Association puts on the display at Key Bank on S. Main Street.

Member Dan Goins says the tradition is an important part of the holidays in the community.

"I’ve got one boy that came as a toddler with his mom and dad and sister, and he’s now a member of our club. He’s been back every single year," Goins says.

The display includes buildings made by club members over the years. It features details like a moving Ferris wheel and bumper cars.

"The satisfaction comes when people come to see it," Goins says. "We try to make things a little different every year when somebody comes."

Visitors can check it out anytime the bank is open:

  • Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon
