The city of Bloomington is still working to repair road damage caused by extreme weather that happened a couple weeks ago.
The city partnered with a local contractor to speed up the process. The city paid Crider and Crider $1,520 a day to fill potholes with city crews for a few days last week.
Director of Public Works Adam Wason says crews have filled thousands of potholes this winter.
"It should be no problem for us to fill, you know, with three or four crews out there, six, seven hundred potholes in a day," Wason said.
With the intense freeze and thaw cycle, heavy rains, and flooding this winter, Wason says this is one of the city's most demanding winters for road repairs.
He encourages Bloomington residents to report potholes to the city's U-report app.
Wason says the Public Works department reviews the reports on a daily basis and sends crews to the exact location of the report.
Residents can also call 812-349-3448 to report a pothole.
