The demolition of the garage begins September 3.
A city press release says the north-south alley on the west side of the garage will close between 6:00 a.m. and 5 p.m. during demolition. A covered walkway will provide alley access to The Back Door and the Blockhouse bars.
The current garage design is a 6-story garage with 510 parking spaces and just more than 11,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor facing Walnut Street.
