The Milton-Madison Bridge on the Kentucky, Indiana border is now the longest bridge in North America to be slid laterally into place.
Crews built the new bridge and put them on temporary steel stands. They then slid sections of the bridge onto the permanent concrete base.
Crews had to stop once because of high winds over the Ohio River but they finished with little issue the next day.
