Record Indianapolis Heat Continues Into Second Day Of October

Record-setting heat continued into the second day of October throughout Indiana.

The National Weather Service recorded a high temperature of 92 degrees in Indianapolis Wednesday, breaking the previous record by three degrees.

The previous record was set in 1953.

92 degrees is the hottest Indianapolis temperature in recorded history for Oct. 2.

The record temperatures follow a September that was the hottest and third driest on record in Indianapolis.
