The man who is being accused of killing several women in northwest Indiana is pleading not guilty to the charges being brought against him.
Darren Vann appeared in court today for about five minutes this morning and politely answered a judge‘s questions.
His attitude was not the defiant one he showed last week, when he stood in court stone-faced and silent.
The 43-year-old Van is being charged in the strangulation deaths of 19-year-old Afrikka Hardy of Gary and 35-year-old Anith Jones of Merrillville.
He later led police to several more bodies.
