Emergency Equipment Sales Skyrocket Amid Ebola Concerns

A Fishers-based infection control equipment supplier says sales have gone through the roof due to Ebola concerns.

Decontamination Quick and Easy or DQE President Tony Baumgartner says Ebola has been a "wake up" call for institutions to be better prepared for possible scenarios.

"I do think that there is a certain sense of urgency about being able to get on top of this problem quickly. No facility wants to be the next Presbyterian hospital in Dallas," Baumgartner says.

He says demand has increased tenfold for "personal protective garments," which include tyvek suits, gloves, boots and masks that they only sell to healthcare facilities and first responders.
