New Online Tool Helps Veterans Find Work

Just in time for Veterans Day the Indiana Department of Workforce Development has announced a new online tool that could help veterans find jobs in Indiana.

When veterans enter their MOS or MOC code, the website generates a list of job opportunities and relevant career pathways.

DWD Spokesperson Joe Frank says the tool is designed to help veterans learn the best way to use their military training.

"Veterans come back from service, and the military has spent millions of dollars to train them in a specialty, in a specific skill, and a lot of times they don't know how to translate that skill over to a civilian job," Frank said.

The Virtual Career Counselor for Veterans is available at www.hoosierdata.in.gov
