Two Indianapolis charter schools will be closing at the end of this school year.
Fall Creek Academy and University Heights Preparatory Academy will close on June 12.
Ball State University informed the schools Friday that their charters will not be renewed due to, in the university's words, "chronic under-performance."
The schools have until Feb. 3 to file an appeal.
The schools say families will have the opportunity to meet with school officials several times in the coming week to address concerns.
