1. State health officials will hold a briefing Wednesday on the HIV outbreak response in southeastern Indiana.
Officials are expected to address long-term sustainability efforts and the transition planning process.
The number of HIV cases in the outbreak reached 170 this week.
2. The state has a new way to track government corruption.
The State Board of Accounts, the state agency tasked with auditing local government like towns and schools, recently hired Andy Shank for a newly created position—Director of Special Investigations.
Shank's role is to act as a liaison between SBOA and local agencies, like county prosecutors and police.
3. Bloomington-based Cook Group has a new leader.
Current Cook Medical President Pete Yonkman will succeed parent company President Kem Hawkins beginning next month.
Hawkins is retiring after 34 years with the medical device manufacturer.
