Seven mayors from Indiana are in Washington D.C. this week for the U.S. Conference of Mayor's winter meeting. Nearly 300 mayors from throughout the nation are sharing stories, ideas and solutions for how to better serve their communities during the 84th winter meeting of the organization.

Indiana's mayoral delegation at the conference includes: John Hamilton of Bloomington, Jim Brainard of Carmel, Tom Henry of Fort Wayne, Karen Freeman-Wilson of Gary, Joe Hogsett of Indianapolis, Jeff Gahan of New Albany and Pete Buttigieg of South Bend.

The United States Conference of Mayors is the official nonpartisan organization of cities with populations of 30,000 or more. Indianapolis will host to the group's national convention in June.
