Meet Sara Draper

Listen to the audio piece above to learn more about Sara, why she got into teaching and what she's worried about this first year in the classroom. The interview was conducted July 21, two weeks before her first day of school. 

School: Helmsburg Elementary School in the Brown County School Corporation.

Grade: Second

Student Teaching Experience: Helmsburg Elementary School, teaching Kindergarten and special education.

Degree: Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Special Education  from Indiana University-Bloomington. Attended Bellarmine University in Louisville for two years before transferring to IU.

Hometown: Indianapolis, Ind. Attended Pike Township schools from kindergarten to 12th grade.

Outside The Classroom: "I love to spend time with Ben (her husband) and our two dogs doing anything outside! We enjoy hiking and finding new adventure paths around Bloomington. I also love to read when I have time and eat frozen yogurt!"
