Morning Headlines: Tuesday, August 11, 2015

Good morning! Here are some of the stories we're following today.

1. A federal court has granted a two-week extension in a case against the city of Terre Haute.

Attorneys representing Highland TH LLC and Overseas Lease Group have until the end of the business day on Aug. 24 to file a response to the city's motion to dismiss the case.

Highland TH and Overseas Lease Group claim Terre Haute agreed to pay 240 monthly payments of more than $700,000 for sludge-drying purposes. They're seeking more than $172 million from the city.

2.  An Indiana grocer is stepping into the online shopping trade.

Kroger is launching an online grocery ordering system in Carmel, and additional stores in other locations will be added by the end of the month.

At the website, the customer fills a shopping cart for a $4.95 service charge. Customers pay when they pick up their orders.

3. If you're hanging out in state parks in southern Indiana, keep an eye out for rattlesnakes.

Indiana Department of Natural Resources officials say multiple endangered rattlesnakes have been found in forests around southern Indiana. Those snakes have shown up in Brown County State Park and the Morgan-Monroe State Forest.
