Uncontested Lienhoop Elected Mayor Of Columbus

Republican Jim Lienhoop has been elected Mayor of Columbus, Ind.

Lienhoop received 4,020 votes in an uncontested election and will succeed Republican Kristen Brown.

Lienhoop, an accountant who joined the Columbus City Council in 2012, won the Republican nomination in May.

During his campaign, Lienhoop said he hopes to alleviate the "climate of uncertainty" he thinks has dominated Columbus politics in recent years.
