Good morning! Follow our team of reporters for updates on today's top stories:

  • The American Civil Liberties Union, on behalf of Planned Parenthood, is suing the state of Indiana over the recently-adopted controversial anti-abortion law. The lawsuit asks the federal court system to block the measure that bans abortions performed because of the fetus' characteristics, like sex, race or disability. Planned Parenthood and the ACLU will hold a press conference at 11:30 today. Follow Brandon Smith ( @BrandonJSmith5) for live updates.
    • Indiana University is ending its chapter of the Inside Out Prison Exchange Program. The program allows prisoners to take university classes with college students. Follow StateImpact Indiana reporter Claire McInerny ( @ClaireMcInerny) for the details.
      • The Monroe County Election Board will meet today at 1 p.m. to discuss the upcoming primary election on May 3. Newly-elected clerk Nicole Browne will preside over her first election board meeting since taking office at the end of March. Follow Josh Margolis ( @MargolisNews) for information during the meeting.
