A former employee in the Indiana University ethics department will plead guilty to possession of child pornography at a Jan. 30 sentencing hearing.
Authorities charged Jon Riveire with six counts of possession of child pornography in May 2015. According to the Herald-Times, police found pornographic images of children on his IU-issued laptop computer:
Police arrested Riveire after discovering a photograph depicting a sex act between an adult man and a girl, between the ages of 3 and 5, in Riveire's email. After obtaining a search warrant, they reported finding 30 additional images of child pornography on Riveire's IU computer.
The Herald-Times reports Riveire worked at IU since 2007, most recently as the assistant director for student conduct.
According to court documents, Riveire will plead guilty to one count of possession, a Level 6 felony. Riveire has agreed to complete a psycho-sexual evaluation at his own expense prior to the sentencing hearing on Jan. 30.
