Pence Will Serve Out Term As Governor

Vice President-elect Mike Pence says he will serve out his term as governor. Pence and Governor-elect Eric Holcomb spoke with key state agency leaders during a transition meeting Monday.

Pence is leading President-elect Donald Trump's transition team and says this work will take him away from Indiana a great deal during his last two months as governor. He says he's looking to fill Trump's Cabinet with people of character and competence.

"We are looking for men and women who share the President-elect's vision to make America great again," Pence says.

Still, Pence says Hoosiers should be confident that the state transition from his administration to that of Holcomb's will be seamless. Holcomb says those plans started Election Night.

"They couldn't have moved more smoothly as well as rapidly and I anticipate on making some announcements in the next coming days that I think you'll be equally excited about," Holcomb says.

Holcomb and his transition team are in the process of reviewing state agency leaders to gauge who will remain.
