Regional leaders gave state officials an update Wednesday on how they're spending the $42 million in Regional Cities grants they each received under former Governor Mike Pence.
The Northeast, Northcentral and Northwest regions are all part of the initiative. Governor Eric Holcomb says their economic development plans could help address population scarcity in Indiana. He says communities need to create desirable places to live, work and play.
"We have long known that Indiana has been a destination for business, but what we're also learning is just how important it is for Indiana remains a destination for talent," Holcomb says.
