Democratic U.S. Sen. Joe Donnelly visited Vincennes Tuesday to speak with farmers about issues impacting their livelihoods.
Donnelly is a member of the United States Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry.
The senator says he tries to be reflective of farmers throughout Indiana when working on legislation that will impact them.
"You're going to get a better farm bill if you put it together with the input of people in Knox County and Monroe County and Morgan County, than people who are on 12 th Street in Washington DC," Donnelly says.
Donnelly says he met with around 30 or 40 farmers.
