Bloomington North Football Game Canceled Due To Positive COVID-19 Test

Bloomington High School North won’t be playing football Friday night after a player tested positive for COVID-19 this week.

The Cougars were scheduled to host New Albany, but all practices and competitions have been canceled until further notice after the positive test.

That player and several close contacts are currently in isolation, according to an email sent out by North principal Michelle Brittain-Watts.

Whether or not North is able to play its Oct. 2 game at Indianapolis Roncalli remains up in the air due to IHSAA protocols concerning the coronavirus pandemic.

The Cougars are 3-2 this season.
