Two more Indiana University fraternities and one sorority have received cease and desist orders related to public health restriction violations, according to school officials.
Spokesperson Chuck Carney said Sigma Phi Epsilon, Lambda Sigma Upsilon and Omega Phi Beta have been ordered to cease and desist which, according to the university, is "an interim measure placed upon certain aspects of chapter operations when there is an immediate threat or ongoing investigation."
Sigma Phi Epsilon is also among seven IU Greek houses currently under a quarantine order. Lambda Sigma Upsilon and Omega Phi Beta are part of the Multicultural Greek Council and are unhoused.
Carney said the university is investigating incidents involving the three chapters for violating public health regulations.
This latest round of cease and desist orders now makes four IU Greek organizations that have been thusly sanctioned this fall.
