The Bureau of Prisons reported 20 active Covid-19 cases among the inmate population at the Federal Correctional Complex in Terre Haute.
Two staff members also tested positive according to new numbers released Tuesday.
Fourteen of those inmates who tested positive are housed in the medium security facility, known as FCI Terre Haute, and the remaining six are at the maximum-security unit, which also includes death row.
To date, there have been two inmate deaths at USP Terre Haute maximum security unit and one inmate death at FCI Terre Haute.

The BOP says 105 inmates and eight staff at FCI Terre Haute have recovered from Covid-19. Eighty-two inmates and two staff at USP Terre Haute have recovered from the virus.
In late August, the Bureau of Prisons reported 45 active cases at FCI Terre Haute and 57 active cases at USP Terre Haute.
