Indiana University announced last month that all students and staff are required to get an annual influenza vaccine by Dec. 1, and physicians say the inoculation is even more important in the face of the pandemic.
So, whether you're required to get a flu shot or just figuring out where to go, here are some local options.
IU Health Clinics
IU Health announced that all flu shots will be free at its locations this season. That includes primary care, urgent care and pharmacy locations.

Monroe County Public Health Clinic
The county’sclinic at 333 E. Miller Dr. in Bloomington offers vaccinations (including flu shots) "at no cost to adults who do not have coverage for immunizations." It also offers free vaccinations to children who meet certain requirements. And the clinic accepts most major insurance plans.

IU Bloomington Flu Vaccine Clinic
All IU students and staff must show proof of a flu vaccine by Dec. 1. The university is offering vaccine clinics on each of its campuses.
IU Bloomington's clinic is located at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall (1001 E. 17th Street) at the athletics complex. It is normally open on Fridays and Saturdays, but hours vary week to week.

Target
Through its partnership with CVS Pharmacy, Target offers in-store flu shots. The vaccine is free with most insurance and customers receive a $5 Target coupon with the vaccine.

CVS Pharmacy
CVS Pharmacy also offers flu shots (free with most insurance) at most of its pharmacy locations. It offers a $5 off coupon for CVS purchases. You can walk in or schedule an appointment.
