Three City Of Bloomington Employees Test Positive For COVID-19

Three new reported COVID-19 cases this week have brought total number of City of Bloomington employees who have contracted COVID-19 to 75.

According to a news release from the city, a Bloomington Transit driver, a Parks and Recreation employee and a Public Works employee tested positive between March 25 and March 31.

The city did not identify any close contacts of the BT driver or the Public Works employee. The only close contacts of the Parks and Rec employee, who works at Twin Lakes Recreation Center, are fellow employees. They have been notified.

These new cases are the first COVID-19 cases reported among city employees since Feb. 25.
